I've just finished watching Clarkson's Farm (it's funny, give it a go) here in the UK and I feel so sorry for all farmers all over the world.

Yep, watching it this week. S2 E 6 right now. It is very funny, him and Caleb really go at it which makes the show. What I find interesting is when I tell people here in the states that sooner rather than later farmers and ranchers will have to register new born animals I’m told I’m crazy or get the eye roll. Yet last season he had to register all his cattle births and this season all his pigs. Here they just issued mandates for RFID on all cattle traveling between states. So we are not far behind. Its is rather amazing how government micro managed farming is there vs here. We don’t have the regs on chemical or fertilizer storage, YET. WE don’t register what crops we have or animals. The government does surveys - mine go in the trash and many others do the same.

We do have all the regs on opening businesses and where, when etcetera. Glad he got won his appeal for his stand and restaurant.

My wife’s family is from Scotland - Androssan / Glasgow and has a sister that lives in Glasgow. It is a beauty country. Its also is hard to grasp that Great Britain is 2/3rds the size of Nebraska.

Kudo's to the farmers in Europe and Great Britain that are getting together and protesting. We do not have that here - the government just has not taken enough away yet and we here in the states are just too fat and happy yet. We are living off the fumes of our founders, the Constitution and what the WW2 generation did. We are about out of fumes and will have to take action of become slaves

I didn’t have a clue our farmers had to do half the stuff that they do. You then add the fact they can’t kill the foxes or badgers is just crazy.

The local council that was blocking all their plans are liberal democrat and labour run. They’re effectively the Democrat party over here and they hate Jeremy clarkson (he’s also won uks sexiest man twice in a row lol.)

Yeah we’re a tiny country and yet look at what we ruled all those years ago. Long live the empire 😂.

Yea I found that interesting these pests/marauders are protected that way. Here a farmer or rancher can protect his livestock and fields at will. Raccoons, fox, coyotes, deer even wild dogs or cats are all up for elimination. You cannot pick them up and use for food - you just let them lay. I even had a neighbor that had over 100 guinea that were destroying my wheat field, I asked politely, demanded he keep them home finally I just started shooting them. He called the Sheriff, the Sheriff looked at my field and said carry on. He went to neighbor and told him to either lock them up or they would all be done away with.

We have our busy bodies here also. Our laws are different and somewhat protect individuals but we are leaning heavy to move to the collective deciding. We will see how that sets over here. Neighbors I talk to have just about had it. Even the ones that thought I was out of my mind 15 years go now see whats going on
