Some have said this was a rambling interview. I found it interesting and somewhat intellectually stimulating. It was a conversation which is far different than a interview. Conversations are becoming a lost art.
People do not have time for them, just do not have the attention span for them. A interview is a quick succession of questions and answers at best. At worst it what is happening here:
Tapper is a disgrace as a journalist and as a human being as is Martha Raddatz and other alledged journalists.
These are interview ambushes where the interviewer is pushing a narrative. Their is nothing intellectually here. The only thing exposed is just how bad Tapper and Raddatz are at their jobs and as human beings.
We all have light conversations, few have deep conversations that cover a range of topics. Deep conversations, long conversations are becoming a rarity.
Was this a wide ranging conversation? Yes it was, from politics to health to boxing to MMA, to UFO, the Kennedy assinnation and more. It was in depth and we learned a great deal about Trump and his thoughts and depth of knowlege on a plethora of subjects. I found it far better than a 60 minutes or a interview where its a rapid fire set of questions, and usually confrontational. I personally hate these confrontational interviews as well as the cream puff ones. They are boring, not informative and both interviewer and interviwee are looking for a one liner to zing someone. In a conversation you will find out a persons deeper thoughts, more about their life, their personality and what and how they got to where they are at.
We see the same thing with the Tucker interview of Vladimir Putin. Like them, hate them, indifferent this was a excellent conversation.
In the past I have not been a fan of RFK jr and his politics, however these long deep conversations have changed my mind and tae on him. He is a deep thinker, has a plethora of knowledge on various subjest and we see his inner being.
Jordan Peterson is another podcaster with long conversations.
These are intellectually stimulating. They help you grow as a person, they help you grow intellectually. Unlike the confrontational interviews that actually make one stupidier.
Their are no such conversations with either Harris or Walz. Oh sure Harris has gone on Charlamane, Call him Daddy and a few others. But really listen to them. They were propaganda pieces and give you no idea what she is about besides abortion or her Trump hate. Charlamayne and Alex Cooper were so obvious in their fawning over Harris nothing else was accomplished. Neither apparently have the ability to hold conversations like Rogan, Tucker or Peterson. If they do they most certainly did not display it.
I truy enjoy deep conversations. They are truly a learning experience and mind opening. I have always enjoyed them, it leads to a deep connectiona nd understanding of the person and ideas.
My dad sometimes told the story of his two grandpa’s conversations. They were neighboring farmers. When they would see each other in the field they would stop and meet at the fence. If it was in the evening it could last all night. He said his grandma’s would get so mad because he would not come home til morning sometimes. One has to wonder what they talked about but if you’ve ever been in one of these you know how time flies yet stands still. I’ve done it in my younger years when I first joined the Libertarian party. We’d have a meeting and spend most of the night talking politics, life whatever. These type conversations are memorable and life changing in some instances. On a deeper level they are very satisfying, for me at least.
We need more of this not less. We need to encourage it, who knows we may change our minds on ideas and people we now want nothing to do with.
