Thank you for reading Martin’s Substack — your support keeps me doing this work. At this point in time everything I write is available to all. I have no plan to change that. We are in a fight to save a country, educate people on the great advantages of freedom.
As you read my substacks you will see links, these links support what I have written. I try to be factual, yet I do interject my opinion. The links contain the facts I am using and trying to get across. I take time to do much research on most articles and the links are just part of my writing process.
I realize I may not be for everybody as I do push the boundaries of freedom and free thought. I would far rather error on the side of “too much” freedom than have any hint of totalitarianism. WE can all overcome an individual trying to control us, very few if any of us can protect ourselves from a authoritarian government.
We need radical thinkers - if that is what you want to call me I accept that and you are not the first to call me radical and won’t be the last. I feel it is important to create articles that are factual, challenge conventional thought therefore pushing readers thought processes, open their minds to new ideas, freedom ideas. Its a different perspective than most are used to or even heard or contemplated. We do not need to agree, we just need to critically think and not accept anyones word without thinking critically.
If you enjoy Martin’s Substack and having your thought processes on government challenged, it would mean the world to me if you invited friends to subscribe and read with us. If you refer friends or family, you will receive benefits that give you special free ebooks that will challenge conventional thought.
Having said all that from time to time I write light articles on a couple of my passions - farming/cattle raising, various homstead self reliance articles and brewing beer.
These ebooks all had a profound effect on my political ideology. I read Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged shortly after graduating high school and move very quickly to Ludwig Von Mises and Rothbard. Murray Rothbard was a premiere thinker/writer during my early days in the Libertarian Party.
Of all Rothbards writings the one I give out the most is Anatomy of the State, its a short 63 page read. It is short and to the point as to exactly what government is. I ask that people put aside all their preconcieved notions on governmetn, what we were taught in school and read it with a completely open mind. It will forever change your opinion of what governmetn is. You will see this in my notes and my substack writings. You may not agree 100% but everyone has something they will take away from readin this book.
